About Naturism

Naturists practice a way of living aimed at encouraging self-respect, respect for others and respect for the environment. It's about personal health, personal well-being and personal acceptance. To be as natural as you can be in a natural setting is a very primal experience for most people. You're dressed in the suit that fits you best -- your own skin. Being nude, especially in the great outdoors within appropriate settings, draws one inherently closer to nature as well as to your own true self.

Anyone can be a naturist. Naturists include single men and women, young couples, families with children, empty nesters, retired people and seniors. Ethnic origin, age, health or disability, body size or shape, skin colour -- all are irrelevant when it comes to enjoying the freedom of naturism, which is why it attracts people from virtually all walks of life. Naturism is about accepting ourselves for who we are, and about feeling comfortable with our own bodies. Social class distinctions, often indicated by clothing, disappear in a naturist setting. You're valued for who you are on the inside, not for physical size or shape, or for how much money you have, or for what job or social status you carry in the textile world.

If you've never tried naturist living, then you may have difficulty imagining how wonderful it feels. Once you take the plunge, you'll quickly discover that it's a life-enhancing experience. It's truly the most natural thing in the world! The relaxation you'll feel will result in one of the healthiest physical and mental life changes possible -- total acceptance of who you are on the inside as well as on the outside. After visiting a naturist park for the first time, people often say, "What took me so long to do this?"

Typical naturist activities include sunbathing, skinny-dipping, sports, hiking, camping, socializing and relaxing. The general idea is simply doing things nude that most people would usually do clothed. Of course, we do wear clothes for protection when it's cold, when doing rough work, when the insects are bothersome or when we've had enough sun and need to cover up.

Some people believe that being nude with other people must always be sexual, or that naturism is morally wrong or pornographic. Naturists have learned through experience that these notions are false. We may be nude, but we're not lewd. As difficult as it may be for some people to understand, naturism is actually a very non-sexual activity. When you and others are unclothed together while doing routine everyday activities, you quickly discover that there's simply nothing in such behaviour to stimulate sexual feelings.

At Naturist Legacy Park, you should expect acceptance. You should expect a welcoming naturist environment for you and your whole family. You should expect responsible freedom and sensible conduct. 

What you should not expect at Naturist Legacy Park is people who will stare at you or make fun of you or betray your privacy. You should not expect lewd behaviour of any kind here. Ever.

We believe that the human body is natural and acceptable no matter what shape it's in. What we do at Naturist Legacy Park isn't about beautiful bodies on display that are competing for attention. For us it's about life in the real world, and it's about the freedom to enjoy that life naturally.
